We are truly in the middle of summer, and the cicadas are humming their lazy song. Life may seem slower-paced, so embrace the pause.
First, my August summer camp is quickly approaching, and I'm so excited to set the plans into action!
A Million Dreams Yoga Camp
Ages: 9-13 Dates: 8/12-8/16 Time: 9:00-12:00 Place: Vienna Community Center
As summer draws to an end, let Mindfulnest Yoga ease your yogi into the fall as we focus on our hopes and dreams for ourselves and the world around us. We’ll spend a week of mindfulness, meditation and yoga exploring positive change and growth. Yogis will begin capturing their dreams in a journal, and consider ways to bring love to our community and ourselves. We'll also incorporate plenty of art, including an Om-azing vision board. Last, but not least, the group will choose a service project to focus on during the week so we can reach out to the world around us. Yogis should bring water and a healthy snack! Mats provided-yogis needed!
Second, the Vienna Community Center Fall catalog is out--check out pages 7, 8, and 18.
(Registration opens August 5th)
I'm holding my usual Family Yoga class on Saturday mornings, as well as the 'baby' class & preschool class. Last, but not least, I've also added a new class. Drum roll please...
Prenatal & Fourth Trimester Mommy & Me Yoga
Ages: moms-to-be and moms and their non-crawling babes
Place: Vienna Community Center
Bring your baby and join a circle of other moms and moms-to-be who might not be sleeping through the night either. Take some time for self-care and baby bonding as we work on stretching, strengthening, and stability while threading together poses that give special attention to our core, pelvis and backs . We'll also calm our busy minds through breath-work, meditation, and community support. Please bring a mat for you and a blanket for your baby!
As always, I'm happy to do private sessions, events, or create a class for a group that you gather--prenatal, babies, kids, tweens, teens, adults, dogs, cats, all of the above!
Happy Summer and Namaste!
