I wanted to give some love to two local moms who hold classes and camps here in town.
Chitra Sharma, the owner of Noctiluna, is an amazing artist who puts a lot of planning and thought into her art camps. This year her themes are Book Making & Illustration, Fiber Art, and Collage and Surrealism. She also holds printmaking workshops around town, and has some beautiful hand printed items for sale on her site. And, she prints my awesome Mindfulnest camp t-shirts for me every year (I help, but I'm more or less in the way...). If your kid is into art, or isn't into art, you should definitely check out her summer camps!
Alison Garen, also a local Vienna mom and business owner, is a wonderful chef who holds classes for adults and kids; she also offers catering and personal chef services. Who doesn't want that??? But if that's not on your list, then she can teach your kids to cook for you! She will be holding summer camps this year, but is still securing a space, so check out her website for updates on camps and classes!
